Important Information to Know...

February Student of the Month: Please complete the form here by Wednesday, Feb 28th. 

iPad Updates: All students & STAFF need to have their iPad updated for testing & to have their iPad work well. Please update your iPad which will eliminate glitches, etc.

PARCC: We will be discussing PARCC at our staff meeting on Wednesday, March 7th. We will be creating the schedule for other teachers (interventionists, etc) to help with testing this week. During March 13th-16th we will be PARCC testing with homerooms. There will be no intervention during this time. All certified staff, please make sure your PARCC password is working. You can try your login here.  Let me know if you have any questions. 

Keyboards: Keyboards are going to be barcoded and can be checked out from the library. This procedure will begin on March 1st.

Grandparents Night: We have rescheduled Grandparents night for Thursday, March 8th from 6:30-7:30. The sign up is here. Thank you.

Happy Long Weekend!

HAPPY LONG WEEKEND~thank you for a great week. We hope you enjoy the extra day off. Sorry this blog is not real exciting, but does have the important information for next week. 

Naglieri Testing: Testing will happen next week. Directions have been shared. Make sure students have gone to Self Service and updated the Test Nav app. Here is the schedule and directions


Winter Carnival: Friday, February 23rd

  • 8:15-9:00: 4th Grade
  • 9:15-10:00: 3rd Grade
  • 10:15-11:00: 5th Grade
If any resource teachers can help out, please let the office know. 

Progress Reports: Progress reports come home on Friday. If you need the office to print your reports, please let Cheryl Burns know by Wednesday at 10am.

Week 21


Naglieri Testing: This year our 3rd & 5th grade students will take the Naglieri non-verbal ability test during the week of February 20th. Please sign up here ASAP for your testing date and time. This is a 30 minute non-verbal assessment that requires no spoken or written language. 

PARCC Testing: We will be testing Tuesday, March 13th-Friday, March 16th. We will be administering two tests per day.  We will test ONLY with your homeroom students. Language Arts testing will be done during the math block since the test is 90 minutes. YOU WILL NEED TO SIGN UP HERE FOR YOUR MATH TESTING SESSIONS by February 9th. We will administer 4 math tests which are each 60 minutes.  


Yearbook Pictures: Please add any pictures from this school year to this folder.  It could be Halloween, Winter Parties, or a field trip....the more variety the better!  We need these pictures by ASAP. Thank you!

Innovational Technology Pictures: Cheryl and I both will be sharing High Point's story of innovation this month to other schools across the state of Illinois. We would love to include recent photos of your students using technology. Please share any pictures that you have~we want to continue telling our story.  Please add any pictures to this folder.  Thank you. 


Grandparents Night: The invitation for the evening is being sent home today. Please sign up here to be part of this night on Thursday, February 8th from 6:30-8:00. We have 4 great stations planned. Thank you to the School Improvement Team for creating a wonderful night for our students & grandparents.  

Aesop Information: 
  • All absences must be entered into Aesop. If you are entering your absence after 6am, please text Cheryl Foertsch and Kristin Beeler. 
  • Make sure you enter your peer coaching date.
