Happy 2018!

Aesop Information:
  • All absences must be entered into Aesop. If you are entering your absence after 6am, please text Cheryl Foertsch and Kristin Beeler.
  • If you have to leave because you are sick, please let the office know and enter the absence into Aesop ASAP.
  • Please continue to print off your sub plans and use your team to help you with sub plans. Subs do not have access to print off your plans when they arrive here at school in the morning. You are welcome to add notes, a digital copy of sub plans, but please have  a PAPER copy of your plans at your desk.
  • If you are taking a 1/2 sick day~please request a sub. You do not request a sub for 1/2 data days.  IEP meeting subs will be handled by Cheryl Burns and the SPED team.
  • When entering a sub for full PL Day, it is still considered a full day sick, so please enter as a full day.
  • Please let us know if you have any questions.
MAP Testing:
On our schedule, on the bottom on the "daily absent" tab, I have listed all absent kids who missed the reading test. We will test these kids on Tuesday morning in the art room at 9:15. Please double check to make sure your student is on this list or delete them if you made up the test with them. Thank you!

Tech Tidbits

Seesaw Ambassadors: Seesaw is accepting nominations for the next round of Seesaw ambassadors  Seesaw ambassadors can get additional beta features and additional PD resources/trainings and swag.  It is only an hour online training that you can do in your pajamas! Please let Cheryl and I know if you are interested and we will sign you up.

YouTube: The YouTube app is no longer on the student's iPads. Students can access YouTube through a link which will open in Safari.  This will make sure our filter is on when students use YouTube. Students can access an YouTube shortcut in Self Service.  You can share any YouTube links via Google Classroom or Seesaw. EdPuzzle is also a great way to share YouTube videos. EdPuzzle is a great way to enhance student engagement and perfect for formative assessment. .

Seesaw Stop and Jots: If you are looking for a great formative assessment to use during silent reading, please check out "Book Snaps using Stop & Jots". You won't have to worry about passing out post-its.  Here is a student example....
